Beth Johnson: As the Creative Media Team Leader, Beth focuses on the team’s long-term goals and works closely with all of the LifeChurch.tv ministries to plan creative strategies for LC.tv. Beth joined the team as a Video Producer in May of 2006, after graduating from the University of Oklahoma where she studied Film and Video in the College of Fine Arts. Beth lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, Brandon. She enjoys analogue photography and traveling.
Kevin Ely: Kevin joined the LifeChurch.tv team in 2002 as the second Video Producer on staff, became Senior Video Producer in 2010, and in 2012 accepted the role of Creative Director. An avid film geek, he also serves as Program Director for the deadCENTER Film Festival in Oklahoma City. Kevin has also made tens of dollars as an independent filmmaker, directing the feature length rock opera “Rainbow Around the Sun,” available for free on Hulu. A few of his favorite things are his lovely wife Holly, his too-cute-for-words daughters Francesca & Harriet, vintage pro wrestling, fine food, a good cup of coffee, and the Oxford comma.
Lisa Branson: Lisa is the Graphic, Experience & Interactive
Project Strategist on the Creative Media Team and has worked at LifeChurch.tv since 2006. She is in charge of all things Basecamp: entering in new projects/setting milestones/communicating with other teams. And of course making sure the video producers and graphic designers have everything they need in order to complete their projects. She is married to a wonderful man named Chris and they have three adorable kids here on earth: Mikah, Gavyn and Lukas and one sweet baby boy in Heaven, Isaiah. She loves family vacations, reading (when she finds the time), and finding crafting/sewing projects that she starts, but most of the time never finishes (again the time thing)!
Jenna Howell: Jenna is the Traffic Coordinator for the LifeChurch.tv Creative Media team. She graduated with a degree in Advertising from Oklahoma State and joined the LifeChurch.tv team in May of 2011. As the admin, Jenna handles anything from ordering print pieces and series banners to taking care of the team’s needs. She grew up a farm girl and is now happy to say that she finally made it to the “big city.”
Shawna Naylor: Shawna was born and raised in the great state of Texas. She is a graduate of Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. After graduating she moved to Wilmington Island outside of Savannah, Georgia. This is where God allowed her to begin to use her gifts and talents in the workplace. She is married to a handsome and humorous man, Steve and has two beautifully athletic girls, Hannah Elizabeth and Haylea Elaine. God brought the Naylors to Oklahoma in 1998 and with that he brought the love of the Oklahoma Sooners! Shawna joined LifeChurch.tv in September 2003. Throughout the years Shawna has worked with many different LC ministry teams and currently serves as the Project Coordinator for the Creative Media team. In her spare time she enjoys watching LOTS of volleyball matches and when there is a break in volleyball, their family runs for the beaches in Destin, Florida.
Katy Carris: Katy serves as the Creative Process Coordinator for the Creative Media team. Katy first joined the LifeChurch.tv family as an E-Learning Curriculum Developer in May of 2008. She obtained a degree in Advertising from the University of Central Oklahoma in the College of Mass Communication on a Friday, and started working at LifeChurch.tv the following Monday. She lives in Edmond with her hunky husband, Jordan, and adorable sons, Max and Wyatt.
Mark Dawson: I’m the lucky guy that gets to lead the LC.tv Experience Team. I look older than the team. Because I am. But they all keep me young and challenged creatively. I’ve been at lifechurch.tv since the end of 2000. I shoot, edit and direct and TD and roll video and work on the set and makeup…. Anything with the weekend I get to work on. Before here I spent all of my career (19 years) in tv news and documentary work. The biggest stories that I covered were the Oklahoma City bombing and killer tornados on May 3rd 1999 in Oklahoma. I have a great family with wife (Kim) and a couple of kids (Alex and Amy) who aren’t kids anymore. I love movies and watching sports. Go CHIEFS! and OKC Thunder. My favorite thing about being here at LC is seeing life change. Knowing that our team is a part of it all is humbling.
Stephen Cox: Stephen is a Graphic Designer at LifeChurch.tv and joined the team in 2006. Specializing in print, Stephen works on message series branding and other design opportunities. Stephen lives in Yukon OK, with his wife Melissa and dog Memphis. In his spare time, Stephen is an avid runner and cyclist.
Darin McClaugherty: Darin joined the Lifechurch.tv team in June 2010 as a video producer for the Creative Media Team. His responsibilities include helping create video promos for the weekend message series. Darin graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications/Electronic Media, and a minor in Mathematics. Darin lives in Oklahoma City, with his wife Theresa, and cat Stella.
Warren Hough: Warren is the Technical Engineer for the Experience Team and joined the LifeChurch.tv team in 2007. Enjoying bridging the gap between the creative and the technical, his work varies from maintaining and operating broadcast equipment to set design and lighting. Before joining the team, Warren worked for NASA at Johnson Space Center in Houston focusing on microgravity experiments and radiation shielding. Warren is fueled by his fantastic family including his wife (Falisha) and daughter (Bradleigh).
Sunny Thomas: Sunny is a Project Coordinator for the Broadcast/Experience Team. He’s a details type of guy that makes sure nothing slips through the cracks with the Weekend Experiences and special events. Sunny joined the LifeChurch.tv team in 2007. He’s married and has three great kids. In addition to being passionate about seeing life change at lc.tv, he also gets excited about photography. You can see his pretty pictures at www.daybreakpics.com.
Grant Downing: Grant Downing started referring to himself in the third person and working for LifeChurch.tv on St. Patrick’s day of 2005. This apparently made the entire island of Ireland so happy that they all went out and celebrated his new source of employment that very night. During his tenure he has succeeded in keeping the tenure going. Grant got into video production while at Oklahoma Baptist University, and from there he quickly learned he was not yet good enough to get hired at LifeChurch.tv when his first application resulted in Mark Dawson hiring Grant’s roommate instead. Months of pain and confusion followed. However, Grant soon found out that his video skills were better appreciated by the buoyant people of Celebrity Cruise Lines, who thankfully had far lower standards. For six months he honed his talents, saw the world, and put forth just barely enough effort to get by. At the end of that time on the high seas, he tried working for LifeChurch.tv again…this time getting the call. Over the years on the Media Design Team, Grant has worked with nearly every ministry at LifeChurch.tv, loving the different needs and challenges of each one, however he didn’t find his true calling until taking over as Commissioner of the Bling Team Fantasy Football League, which he rules with an Iron Fist and a Tungsten Heart.
Daniel Daily: This is Daniel. He first started making videos when he was a young boy. They weren’t very good back then, but they were kind of funny and it captured his attention, so he stuck with it and went on to study Media Production in college. He joined the Creative Media Team in the spring of 2011 as a Filmmaker and has loved working alongside the rest of the team rubbing shoulders with creative people. Daniel has lots of hidden talents, but will never share them with you (they are “hidden” talents, not “tell other people about them” talents). He enjoys having fun (and is really good at it), bad jokes, anything in the great outdoors, and talking about his wife Callae.
Alex Dawson: Alex Dawson began attending LifeChurch.tv at the age of 12. As a kid growing up in LifeChurch.tv, he always dreamed of being a part of the things God was doing here. At the age of 16 he began volunteering as a camera operator for the weekend experiences. He attended the University of Oklahoma with a major in Film and Video Studies and graduated in May of 2010. Alex joined the Creative Media Team as a Filmmaker in 2010. He wakes up excited and ready to come work at LifeChurch.tv each and every day. He enjoys delicious flavors, especially when it involves coffee, and is on a constant quest to acknowledge anything and everything that he deems fascinating.
Sean McHargue: Sean McHargue is a 3D Animator for the Creative Media Team. His affinity for 3D motion and design along with his passion to minister to people led him to the join the LifeChurch.tv team in 2007. Specializing in character and virtual set design, CG effects and animation, Sean has produced content for all areas of ministry, but cherishes the calling to visually engage children so that they are more receptive to hear the message of Christ.
Travis Tindell: As a younger person, people knew me as that yellow-bellied brat with an absurd affinity for pinwheels and paper trails. Code name: Durango. My streets were always paved with a cornucopia of wild man trails, distant near echoes, nonsensical ceremonial circuses, and the never-ending (yet disturbingly occasional) slip from reality. In truth, I do not know. But today I’m known for my red beard (why it’s not in the picture you ask? Because I shaved it, I answer!), obsession with cinematography, foreign cultures, cerebral movies, food, brisket, music, Lifechurch.tv, and my drive for adventure! My nicknames describe me best: tickles, podge, buttons, slippers, Wendy, smotes, Adventure Richard, monster feet, lollipops, pickle finger, and T-bone. Here at Lifechurch.tv, I make videos.
Brian Lawes: Being raised by an eccentric Sherpa amidst the Western Himalayas, Brian began his life in a Nepalese village at the age of four. No one knows where he was before. Legend has it that he discovered his passion for storytelling one evening while entertaining the villagers with shadow puppets on the wall of a fire-lit cave. From that point on, he embarked on a quest to find the most meaningful way to use this passion. Through his encounters with siamese twins and a nostalgic nun along the way, he learned that two heads are better than one, that where ever he went, that’s where he’d be, and that the only thing that never changes in life is, well, that life is always changing.
Nick Dillard: Nick Dillard joined the Lifechurch.tv team in 2012 as a video producer/filmmaker for the Creative Media Team. Even though he had a passion for movies and film as a young lad, he did not begin honing in on that passion, and the skills it required him to pursue, ’til about the age of 20. After months upon months of reading, filming, editing, and learning, he received a job in St. Louis, Missouri as a Visual Media Specialist. Moving from Muskogee, OK (his hometown) to Missouri, he began creating media to advance The Gospel and it was all over from there. If passion were a fire, this opportunity was the kid pouring gas on it. The fire grew and he was never content with the knowledge he had or the content he created; God deserves the best and he wanted to give Him the best. After some time spent in Cardinal Nation he received the job at Lifechurch.tv and moved back to Oklahoma, land of the free and home of Carrie Underwood. He is excited to advance The Kingdom with such creative and talented servants and hopes to create content that blows the minds of the secular world. He also likes music and movies. BOOM.
Kirk Suttles: Kirk began attending LifeChurch.tv in 2004. Several months later when the South OKC campus launched, he began serving as a tech volunteer. He was later hired as the part time facilities manager at South OKC and worked in that role for a year while he went to school at the University of Central Oklahoma. In 2007 Kirk graduated with a bachelor’s degree from UCO in Broadcasting. He also completed an internship with the weekend team at the OKC campus lead by Mark Dawson. In early 2008 Kirk accepted a position as a filmmaker on the Creative Media team. In March of 2011 Kirk accepted the role of Senior Production Coordinator for the newly created Production Team on Media Design. Kirk lives in Edmond, OK with his HOT wife Laura and their three beautiful daughters Hope, Joy, and Glory. He also has two chickens, a Brittany spaniel, and a guinea pig. All females. Pray for him.
Amanda Hyden: Having grown up in a photographer’s home, Amanda Hyden grew to love moments of greatness captured on film. Today, Amanda uses this passion to further God’s kingdom as a Producer, where she gets to be involved in the casting, scheduling, props, locations, and wardrobe for the videos and series art. Amanda’s journey at LC.tv began in 1999 as an attendee, which led to volunteer, intern, then full time positions on the SouthOKC campus and the Content Development team. Today, she is living her dream job as part of Media Design. When not working, Amanda loves adventuring to other countries, taking photos, loving on her friends and family, and being part of anything that makes her laugh!
Katie O’Dell: Katie joined the Creative Media Team as a Producer in October of 2012. Moving frequently as a youngster around the U.S., Katie learned to used her passion for the arts and media as an outlet for her creativity. A performer at heart, she has been involved in many Community and Church Productions throughout the Midwest. Prior to joining the creative media team, Katie attended the Yukon LifeChurch.tv Campus for two and a half years where she and her husband Ryan ended up attending by “accident.” Katie has always felt a call to be in ministry and is thankful that God has brought her to LifeChurch.tv. She loves animals, nature, flying with her husband, and watching movies. Her favorite animal is the camel and of course her Siberian Husky named Kodiak who is her real, live “pillow pet.”
Jeremy Brown: Jeremy joined the Creative Media team as a Graphic Designer in 2010, became the Senior Graphic Designer in 2012, and accepted the role of Art Director in 2013. As Art Director, Jeremy oversees the areas of Interactive and Graphic Design, where he focuses on identifying and maintaining consistent visual branding across the entire church. In his spare time, Jeremy loves riding road and mountain bikes, watching Barclays Premier League soccer and spending as much time as he can with his wife and two dogs. Jeremy also considers it a monumental blessing to work with such a talented group of creative individuals, who he happily considers family.
Kaleb Nimz: Kaleb is a Graphic Designer at LifeChurch.tv where he joined the team in early 2011, after graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Graphic Design. Concentrating mainly on print design and dabbling in some motion, Kaleb focuses on projects for all of the ministries at LifeChurch.tv. When he is not working, Kaleb is enjoying one of two things: hanging out with his beautiful wife Marilyn or riding his bicycle.
Ryan Tauss: Tauss joined the Creative Media team as a Graphic Designer in 2012. Hailing all the way from Tulsa, he studied Graphic Design at Oklahoma State University, where met his beautiful and loving wife, Jennifer. Having the opportunity to travel coast to coast by car, Tauss has an ever-growing appreciation and curiosity for the vastness of the USA and people in general. This never-ending fascination with what makes people connect is partly what draws him to design. It’s not just the form of something that makes it beautiful. The true test is how people interact with it. He is humbled to be among creative individuals who passionately live their lives in obedience to God’s will.
Kendra Golden: Kendra Golden has designed and developed ministry materials for LifeChurch.tv ever since God snatched her out of her teaching career back in 2003. She stays neck-deep in all things curriculum—leading the content team, writing teaching content for children’s experiences, programming worship services, writing songs, and dancing around in an elephant suit. She has loved her writer husband Brannon since 1989, her son Kenny since 1997, her son Preston since 2001, and her daughter Evangeline since 2005. She’s slightly weird about fostering. She likes traveling, museums, the OKC Thunder, and gangsta rap.
Nick Mancini: Nick is a native of Chi-town (Chicago) where he served in various youth ministry positions throughout the years, in both church and para-church work, before coming to LifeChurch.tv in 2011. Nick utilizes his experience in youth ministry as the Youth Content Developer at LC.tv. This includes programs for 5th grade all the way through seniors in high school. He is passionate about youth ministry because he believes that those years are crucial in the spiritual development of teenagers. His life motto is “I stumble PASSIONATELY after Jesus” because the journey is anything but perfect, but the pursuit is passionate. In an alternate reality Nick would want to make a living as a stand-up comedian. Interesting fact: he is average height—for a woman.
Darren Currin: Darren Currin is the content developer for LifeGroups and adult ministries at LifeChurch.tv. He is responsible for working with church leadership in creating video, print, and electronic content used in small groups and that support sermon series. Prior to joining LifeChurch.tv, Currin was an award-winning journalist in Oklahoma City and spent many years working as a commercial real estate analyst.
Kristen Cox: Meet Kristen. Kristen grew up in Hamilton, Missouri, birthplace and boyhood home of J.C. Penney. A word junkie since childhood, Kristen always loved exploring the worlds and adventures found in her favorite books. It wasn’t long before she began crafting stories of her own.
She still does that today through her work on the Creative Media Team of Lifechurch.tv. Whether she’s writing screenplays, curriculum for small groups, or stories of what God is doing today through the lives of His people, Kristen is always writing. And she loves it.
Math, however, makes her cry. As do traffic jams, Chinese mustard, and that Folgers commercial where Peter comes home for Christmas.
Salvatore DiSalvatore: Salvatore DiSalvatore, so nice they named him twice, joined the Lifechurch.tv staff as a Content Writer in 2011. Sal is a story junkie and spends his days hopped on plot. After years trying to get his fix working in the Christian film industry, writing things like the made-for-television movie, Book of Ruth: Journey of Faith, Sal came across a posting for a content developer at Lifechurch.tv. Much to his dismay, Sal did not get the job, but it led to a conversation that changed his life. Sal, eventually, went under contract and was able to engage his story habit by writing numerous series and bringing the production team to their wits end. Today, Sal writes full time for Lifechurch.tv and gets to satiate his fix daily. When asked to comment, Sal says, “I can’t imagine doing anything else.”
Zachary Foster: Zachary joined the team back in 2007 as one of the first hires for the LifeChurch.tv Digerati team. Over the years, he worked his way up to a team leader that handled both the online presence of LifeChurch.tv and all the Church to Church projects. In summer 2012, Zachary joined the Creative Media team by accepting the role to head up the Interactive team. In another life, Zachary cut his teeth in the world of advertising, and has both local and regional ADDYS. Things that Zack can’t live without are his amazing wife, their four beautiful girls, black tea, anything by Aaron Sorkin, cooking, gardening, running, and driving his ‘72 F100 truck.
Scott Lesser: Scott Lesser is a fan of all things web. If he isn’t sitting in front of his computer, he’s probably sitting in front of yours. (Is he there now? Aw man, sorry.) He has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Oklahoma State University, where he spent most of his time watching college football, playing FIFA, and eating Pizza Rolls. He claims to have learned everything he knows about life from watching Seinfeld and reading Calvin and Hobbes. When he isn’t nerding (his verb, not ours) he spends his free time playing soccer and hanging with his wife, Britnee. Some of his special skills include chewing on pens that don’t belong to him, napping whenever, wearing flip-flops, and being very below average at golf.
